Overview: Ms. Kauffman will share an overview of the Mission and the Structure of the Cambria County Drug Coalition. In this presentation, participants will learn: Understanding Substance Use Disorder and its effects on chemicals in the brain, How to administer the lifesaving medication Narcan, Person First Language and how it reduces stigma in our community and the available resources offer by the CCDC.
Natalie is a 2001 graduate of Johnstown Christian School. Upon her graduation, she began her career in Retail Cosmetics, which lead her to becoming the Store Manager for Sephora in Annapolis, MD in 2014. After living in Maryland for 5 years, she decided to relocate back to her hometown of Johnstown, PA. Upon moving home, Natalie hoped to utilize her skills to benefit the community and transition her career into the nonprofit sector.
She is currently the Projects Coordinator for the Cambria County Drug Coalition, a nonprofit organization that collaborates with all community sectors to create drug-free communities. She believes in the power of drug prevention and supports both evidence-based and environmental programming. She works diligently to reduce stigma associated with Substance Use Disorder and to spread the message that recovery, in all its forms, is possible.
